Why SchoolSpan exists

A school-based program is more than a set of clinical appointments. Someone must track the school referral, collect parent consent and intake, coordinate the assignment, manage waiting referrals, update the school and report on the program across locations.

When that work is spread across inboxes and spreadsheets, the team has to reconstruct the journey before it can act. SchoolSpan is built around making those operational handoffs easier to see and coordinate.

A specific focus on multi-school provider programs

SchoolSpan’s target customer is a regional U.S. provider serving roughly 10–75 schools: a community mental health organization, specialized school-based agency or multi-site group practice. The buyers are the leaders responsible for school contracts and day-to-day service delivery.

The product connects school referrals, digital parent consent and intake, waitlists, assignments, appropriate school visibility and reporting by school or district.

Our role is software and coordination

Providers remain responsible for clinical care. SchoolSpan does not supply clinicians or replace the EHR used for clinical documentation and billing. It is designed to sit alongside that system through light integration or a clean handoff scoped to the program.

School-facing visibility is intended to be role-limited and appropriate to the program’s authorizations and sharing requirements. Specific security and contractual needs must be confirmed during diligence.
